Editify Order Editing & Upsell (“Editify,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides order editing and upsell functionality (the “Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores.
This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected, used, stored, and shared when you install or use Editify in connection with your Shopify store.
Personal Information the App Collects
When you install Editify, we may access certain information from your Shopify account that is necessary to provide the Service. Depending on the features you use and the permissions granted to the App, this may include:
Information about your Shopify store, including store name, domain, and store configuration.
Order information necessary to allow customers and merchants to view, modify, or update eligible orders.
Product and variant information necessary to display products, process order changes, and provide upsell functionality.
Customer information associated with orders, such as name, email address, shipping or billing information, and other information necessary to process requested order changes.
Information about the merchant or individuals authorized to administer the App.
We may also automatically collect technical information related to use of the App, such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and application logs. This information is primarily used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.
We receive information primarily through Shopify and through interactions with the App and its services.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide and operate Editify, including to:
Provide order editing and upsell functionality.
Process changes requested by merchants or their customers.
Communicate with merchants regarding the Service.
Provide customer support.
Monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App.
Prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
We do not sell personal information collected through Editify.
Sharing Your Information
We may share information with third-party service providers that help us operate Editify, such as hosting, infrastructure, database, analytics, communications, and other technology providers.
These providers are given access to information only as reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf and are expected to handle that information appropriately.

When a merchant uninstalls Editify, we will delete or anonymize personal information when required by applicable law and Shopify's requirements, subject to information we are permitted or required to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate purposes.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No method of transmitting or storing information electronically is completely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
If you are a customer of a merchant using Editify, we recommend contacting the merchant directly regarding requests relating to your personal information. We will assist merchants with valid privacy requests where required.

International Data Transfers
Editify and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries outside of the country where you or your customers are located.
Where required by applicable law, we take appropriate measures to protect personal information transferred internationally.
Shopify
Editify operates in connection with Shopify stores and receives certain information through Shopify's platform and APIs. Shopify's collection and use of information is governed separately by Shopify's own privacy policies and agreements.
Merchants are responsible for ensuring that their own privacy policies accurately disclose their use of Editify and other third-party applications where required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy
Editify is intended for use by Shopify merchants and their customers and is not directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through the administration of the App.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to the App, our information practices, legal requirements, or other operational reasons.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy.
